When we came in, Ferdinand popped his head right out & opened his mouth as if he were saying "hi!"

Rich: Okay! You guys ready?
Erica & I: Oh yeah!
Rich: Okay! Have fun! Do whatever you want!

I bent down in front of Ferdi & i patted him on his melon which seemed to jiggle at every movement i made. I gave him a wonderful rub down & leaned over & kissed him on the top of his melon. He SQUEALED & spun around [it was THE cutest thing ever!] So i leaned in again to kiss him & he flung himself almost onto the concrete & kissed me. He wouldn't stop! He kept doing this & making vocalizations. I never gave him a single signal.

me: Hey Rich...what does their tongue feel like?
Rich: Go ahead & find out.
me: ........
Rich: Really! Go ahead!
me: Are you sure?
Rich: Absolutely! He doesn't bite, he'd play with your hand all day if he could! Go for it!
me: Ooooookay?

I straightened my hand & put it in front of him & he opened his mouth & i went in. He closed down slightly only to toss my hand around with his tongue. His tongue felt like jelly. Really really soft jelly.

me about to cry: This is so....amazing...

Erica got do do everything i did as well. This was her first time touching a whale. What an experience. Muk Tuk [FYI is a female] & Ruby came in because they heard Erica & I laughing & squealing. We had to leave so they could "entertain the humans" but we went back in & played a little while longer. After a while we had to go. It was hard. But i couldn't stop thanking Rich. We got a photo with him & he let us go. When he was out of sight, Erica & I both started screaming!! People stared at us like 'whoa wtf..?' Soon after the experience we had to leave but this time i wasn't sad...i was ecstatic. I was so high on happiness i couldn't stop smiling or squealing. This has inspired me to work twice as hard. I hope that when i pass that swim test, i'll be working with the Belugas. I'm so in love with them. I have a new name for them....the Jelly Whales.

Also, i just feel so honored, so lucky to experience such an incredible thing like this. If we were someplace else, at that time, that day, we could've missed it. And of all the people, the families, the little kids. he picked us. He treated us like we knew what we were doing
